CHED AHEAD Grant 2026: Requirements, Online Application Link, and Guide to ₱25,000

If you are a nursing, medical technology, pharmacy, or any allied health student spending thousands on hospital rotations and clinical training every year, the government just launched something you need to know about.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has opened the Allied Health Experiential Assistance for Deserving Students (AHEAD) Grant, a one-time ₱25,000 financial assistance specifically designed to cover the real costs of clinical training that most scholarships ignore.

What Is the CHED AHEAD Grant?

Unlike typical scholarships that only cover tuition, the AHEAD Grant targets something most allied health students struggle with quietly, the expenses that pile up during hospital rotations, practicums, and community training:

  • Transportation to and from training sites
  • Lodging and accommodation
  • Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Training fees and laboratory dues
  • Supplies and consumables for Related Learning Experience (RLE)
  • Medical requirements and insurance

The ₱25,000 is released in one lump sum directly to the grantee’s Landbank account.

Why This Grant Matters

Future healthcare workers in the Philippines carry a financial burden that most people do not see. Beyond tuition, clinical training alone can cost a student tens of thousands of pesos for transportation, uniforms, hospital fees, and supplies. Many students work part-time jobs or take out loans just to complete their rotations.

The AHEAD Grant does not solve everything, but ₱25,000 delivered at the right time can mean the difference between finishing your degree and dropping out.

If you or someone you know is an allied health student, apply as soon as the portal opens and share this with every nursing, pharmacy, or MedTech student you know.

Apply through the official CHED AHEAD portal. For inquiries, contact your CHED Regional Office.
