One of the most well known college scholarships in the Philippines is now closed and if you are a Grade 12 graduate with at least a 92% GWA and a household income of ₱250,000 or below, the SM College Scholarship could cover your entire college education.

What Does the SM Scholarship Give You?
SM Foundation does not just hand out tuition money. Scholars receive a full support package:
- Full tuition and other school fees – 100% covered
- Monthly stipend – for living and daily expenses

Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the SM Scholarship, you must meet all of the following:
- Be a Grade 12 graduate from a public or private school in a covered area
- If from a private school: must have a DepEd voucher and must be a Grade 10 finisher from a public high school
- Have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 92% for Grade 12 – 1st Semester
- Have an annual total household income of ₱250,000 or below

- BS Computer Engineering
- BS Mechanical Engineering
- BS Accounting Information Systems
- BSBA in Management Accounting
- BS Information Technology
- BS Civil Engineering
- BS Accountancy
- BS Internal Auditing
- BS Elementary Education
- BS Electronics and Communications Engineering / BS Electronics Engineering
- BS Electrical Engineering
- BS Accounting Technology
- BSBA in Financial Management
- BS Secondary Education (majors in Biology, Chemistry, General Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, or English)

Where Can You Study?
Scholars can enroll in any school of their choice – as long as it is located in a covered province:
Luzon: NCR, Albay, Bataan, Batangas, Benguet, Bulacan, Cagayan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Isabela, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Palawan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Quezon, Rizal, Sorsogon, Tarlac, Zambales.
Visayas: Capiz, Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte, Negros Occidental.
Mindanao: Agusan del Norte, Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, South Cotabato, Zamboanga del Sur.
Documents you need to prepare
Before applying online, gather the following:
- Proof of income (any one of the following):
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parent/s or guardian
- Certificate of Non-Filing of Income
- Certificate of Indigency
- Latest Grade 12 Report Card
- PSA Birth Certificate
- Two (2) recent 2×2 ID photos
- Sketch of your residence showing the route to the nearest SM Mall
How to apply for the SM Scholarship 2026
- Go to the official SM Foundation scholarship portal: https://scholarship.sm-foundation.org
- Fill out the online application form completely
- Upload all required documents
- Submit before the deadline
The application period for SM Scholarship 2026 ran from February 1 to February 28, 2026. If you missed the 2026 cycle, bookmark this page and prepare early for the 2027 application which typically opens around the same period.
