The PHINMA National Scholarship (PNS) Program was launched in 2006 in celebration of PHINMA’s 50th anniversary. The program aims to help make lives better through education and nation-building by supporting deserving college students with financial assistance, mentorship, and leadership development.

Through the years, the PHINMA National Scholarship Program has produced more than 250 licensed professionals, including accountants, engineers, and teachers.

These are the 3 Core Components of the PNS Program

The PHINMA National Scholarship is a full scholarship and leadership development program composed of three major components:

  1. Scholarship: 100% financial assistance for tuition and school fees.
  2. Mentorship: Guided by the “Big Brother and Big Sister” (BBBS) program with PHINMA employee volunteers.
  3. Leadership: Supplemental workshops, service learning, and volunteer activities to develop socially engaged leaders.

PHINMA Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship grant is funded by the PHINMA Group of Companies and the Adopt-A-Scholar Program. It allows scholars to access quality education programs.

A PNS Scholar is entitled to the following benefits:

  • 100% financial assistance on tuition and fees for the normal length of the course (Fees may also be offset by other scholarships)
  • Monthly allowance of Php 3,000
  • Annual book allowance of Php 2,000
  • Annual uniform allowance of Php 1,500
  • Professional development allowance of Php 3,000
  • Graduation fee assistance
  • Financial assistance for board exam reviews
  • Cash incentives for graduates with Latin honors
  • Cash incentives for first-time board passers and placers
  • Participation in the PHINMA Leadership and Mentorship Program

Qualifications & Eligible Schools

General Requirements

  • Must be a Filipino citizen.
  • Annual family gross income must not exceed Php 300,000.
  • Must not have an immediate relative who is a current PNS scholar or alumni.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a strong interest in nation-building.

Mentorship

Scholars are mentored through the Big Brother and Big Sister Program (BBBS), an initiative of PHINMA HERO. Volunteers include PHINMA employees from top management to staff level.

Through this program, mentors regularly meet with scholars to guide their personal, academic, and professional development.

Leadership

The leadership component focuses on holistic formation through:

  • Supplemental workshops
  • On-the-job training opportunities
  • Alternative learning experiences
  • Service learning and volunteer activities

These activities aim to develop socially engaged and nation-oriented leaders.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

Academic Documents

  • Copy of Registration or Enrollment Form
  • Official record of most recent academic performance
  • For First Year applicants:
    • SHS Transcript of Records (TOR), or
    • Complete copies of Grade 11 and Grade 12 report cards
  • For Second Year applicants:
    • True Copy of Grades from first year

Proof of Income

Submit any two (2) of the following:

  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of the family breadwinner
  • Pay slips from the past three months
  • Certificate of Non-Filing of ITR
  • Utility bills from the past three months
